(June 4, 2019, 2:00 am)Very good food. This is a Roanoke Valley treasure. Beautiful views, peaceful, clean air on the outside, good food on the inside. Family style dining - sit down and enjoy all you care to enjoy. The chicken is some of the best you can get anywhere. If you've never been, you are not doing yourself any favors.

Excellent service, delicious food, very reasonable price. You pick meat from several choices and 5 vegetables, gravy, drinks and biscuits come with. Excellent visit!

(May 17, 2019, 1:47 pm)What a wonderful place! I think we may have arrived last after the grad school graduation, the parking lots were packed! Hours said they close at 8 but we didn’t get seated til after 8:30. Choice of 2 meats, we had the fried chicken and roast beef, everything was excellent. And the service was great too, even after graduation at Virginia Tech with sooo many people there. I would highly recommend The Homeplace.
