Muchacho Alegre

Delicious! This visit had a California Burrito with chicken, and a Fajita Burrito with steak. Meat was tender and seasoned perfectly, not dry like some places. Ordered a guacamole dip and added to top of burrito too. Our server Maria suggested this over the smaller sized menu add on, and it was worth the extra cost! Maria was prompt, gave us the drink and meal specials, and provided excellent customer service without hovering! (theres an art to that). This was our second visit. Love the food and the decor is not your stereotypical Mexican restaurant decor. Booths are solid gorgeous smooth wood, exposed brick walls feature tasteful art work . Bathroom very nice and clean. I want to try everything on the menu!

This our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Restaurant is super clean, tables are not sticky. The vegetables are fresh, food was most excellent. Service is exceptional. Mary was our server and she is fabulous. You have to try them.

This place is wonderful. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Restaurant is extremely clean and Mary makes the best drinks! This place is a must try!

We really enjoy dining at Muchacho Alegre. It's in walking distance from our home, the food is great and the folks who manage it are so personable. We have never eaten there when we have not been "thanked and appreciated" for choosing to dine there. The leaders are active in the Salem community and I enjoy interacting with them on Main Street, at the Farmer's Market, etc. We enjoy supporting our local restaurants. Great food, service and people!

The food was very good. The fajitas the wife and I had we're a little pricey, but they also have less costly options. Mexican food is generally out for us because we're low carb, but the menu offered enough for us to work around.

Service was very good, though it wasn't busy when we got there so we'll have to see how it is during a meal rush. The staff seem friendly, and aren't disgruntled like so many servers at other restaurants are.

We'll go back for sure.
