“Our second and third visit in two years. This is a farm-to-table eatery. Their ingredients scream freshness. On the first visit, my husband ordered a bagel and a fruit cup. I ordered, by mistake, over easy eggs (I really wanted scrambled soft), with bacon and multi grain bread. In all fairness, I make bagels and my husband raves about them as they remind him of how bagels were made long ago, so he was not overly impressed with their bagel. He enjoyed the fruit salad. My eggs were so fresh that every bite of both egg white and yolk was divine! I was so glad I ordered them over easy! The toast perfect and bacon could have been toasted a bit more, but otherwise very tasty. On our second visit my husband ordered soft scrambled eggs with bacon and multi grain toast. I ordered same as previous day, but asked the bacon to be crispy. His eggs were over cooked. My eggs, though cooked as requested, were piled on top of the other. I found the toast to be overdone, though the bacon was cooked perfectly. Lack of consistency is what we find is a big problem when dining out. This lack can be attributed to several factors including staff scheduling and presence of management. Their products are farm fresh and because we have had more positive than negative experiences, we will return and be more clear with the specifics of our order.”

“I stopped in last week while I was passing through town on a road trip for some breakfast. The dining area was cute and the seating was comfortable. The open kitchen was clean, and most importantly the food was delicious. The quiche was excellent - the crust was flaky and the filling was light, airy, and delicious. The olive oil poached eggs were wonderful. Cooked perfectly and retained the wonderful flavor of the olive oil. Here's the kicker - as I mentioned, I was passing through town on a road trip. Being the forgetful guy that I am, I left my jacket on my chair and headed towards Atlanta. When I realized what happened two hours later, I called the restaurant and was reassured by Luke, the owner's grandson, that they would mail me the jacket and the headphones I left inside back immediately. I was so relieved. True to Luke's word, my jacket showed up in the mail less than a week later. Not only is this an excellent establishment, it is also staffed and owned by some truly wonderful people. Please stop in if you are in the area and support this establishment. You won't regret it.”

“BOY - this place sure Hath A Way of making my belly full! The food is delicious and delightfully-presented, the tea itself is superb - and they were more than accommodating of a medium-sized group with some last minute changes/requests. I particularly appreciated the portraits of Richard III (who has been slandered by the history books - he wasn't as bad as all that) and Henry VIII + wives. (You know, there's no hard evidence that Richard III had the princes in the tower killed. It's just a vile rumor. I believe the evidence suggests that Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham, was in fact the guilty party - and that his rebellion in 1483 was an attempt on his part to see himself crowned King of England over Richard. Richard III never would have publicly accused the Duke of Buckingham of the deed, for no contemporary of his would ever believe that Buckingham could act independently of the king's wishes in this matter. However, I do believe that Buckingham was, in fact, acting under his own impetus. Buckingham's Rebellion in 1483 was the culmination of these efforts - an attempt to supplant his former benefactor, Richard III, and install Henry Tudor on the throne. While this may seem like one of the many simple attempts to crown Henry Tudor, I believe this was truly the beginning of a master plot by Buckingham to eliminate all other royal pretenders - Tudor included! - and see himself seated on the throne of England. That history recalls King Richard III as the villain is a tragic misunderstanding, and a case of history truly being written by the victors). Anyway, 5 stars! I enjoyed my mango tea quite a lot, and the Ploughman's lunch was scrummy.”

“Don't listen to all the other reviews. I go to this place once in a blue moon and have never been let down. Great food great staff great experience. I gave it four stars instead of 5 because the building is outdated and could use renovating. But again the food quality is second to none.”

“Jane and her folks recently provided a wide variety of items for some wedding events we had this month: quiche, hand pies, pot pies, and dessert pies, too. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Our guests couldn't stop raving about her crusts, and the flavors in each dish were perfect. Coconut cream pie: divine. Chocolate silk pie: so rich and delicious. Beef cottage pie: scrumptious. Sweet potato/sausage quiche: good hot or cold. Seriously: eat here and you won't be disappointed! Thanks, Jane!”
