Johnny Mañana's Boardwalk Cafe and Tequileria

I’m a VB local, have been going to Johnnys for years and have no reservations in regards to giving it my highest recommendation. It’s not the average VB volume bar serving overly sweet frat drinks with no personality. It’s the home of award winning cocktails, beautiful beach views and great food. The friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere put it over the top. If you’re tired of the volume bar scene here in VB go see Johnny, Eve and Chanel for a local experience I think you’ll enjoy.

Older gentleman at bar not very pleasant. Other employees friendly. Food priced extremely high for quality of food. I had a taco bowl and it was "meh" at best. Throughout my stay here I spent a good deal on drinks but I'd recommend sticking to beer as the mixed drinks were weak. Great view. No complaints on cleanliness.

This is a very cool little beachfront restaurant. They have a nice little menu of very good food. What sets them apart is their very friendly staff and their vast knowledge of and stay tequila. Also as you can see a few is amazing! Also they are dog friendly, which is really surprising since Virginia Beach oceanfront is not. I liked it so well that I had lunch there twice and dinner with my wife while we were there.

June 2019 - Don't let the bad reviews fool you! This place is great! It's not fancy, and you're not getting a staff that works at a classy restaurant. It's a bar/restaurant that is in a hotel on Virginia Beach. Don't set your expectations higher than that. The staff is personable, the drinks are made well and the tacos are amazing! If you have a reason to complain, you're either looking for something to annoy you or you're looking for something free!

July 2018 - The food was AMAZING! It's kind of a dive when you look at it, but great staff and awesome food!!!!

Very friendly staff and patrons. Cozy atmosphere. Great food.... and so far the only place I've been with paper straws!! Right on the beach. Definitely recommend!! Perfect for couples.
