Apple House

This is a wonderful establishment. They have a very nice selection of wine and hot sauces. The inside is done up like an old cabin. The gift shop area has a lot of nice/neat things as well.

Stumbled across this place during our road trip. The place has so many things to make your whole crew forget the fact that there are still more hours of driving. Everybody liked the donuts. Bathrooms needed some attention, probably because they stay very busy.

Apple House is an institution! On funky and retro, I give it a 10. There are so many things to try at the Apple House, from hot sauces and jams to cured hams and unique flavor chips. The chef volunteered to make a vegan sandwich for my daughter, a priceless gesture.
Oh, and don't miss their doughnuts, those have landmark status!!!

They have the best apple donuts! The store itself is really cute and there are a ton of fun items available for purchase. They don't have the largest dinning area. It's an order then sit type of place, so there's time for tables to clear or you can get the food to go. The burger patties are huge, so big they don't even fit on the bun! They did get my order wrong, but the food was still good.

Recent renovations, an expanded wine and beer menus all from local VA wineries and breweries. They have a good BBQ sandwich and I had the Outlaw Redneck Balls (hot poppers) which were delicious. Please give these good folks a try by stopping by for a bite to eat.
