Red Lobster

Typical chain restaurant that fall somewhere in between Fridays and a Cheesecake Factory. The service was fast. People polite but it wasn’t clear where to pick up takeout waited about 8-10 minutes with people that were waiting to be seated at the restaurant before someone explained I pick up takeout at the bar.
I’ve honestly never been to Red Lobster. I was visiting family in Virginia and picked up dinner one night. I’ve always wanted to try obviously since they’ve show commercials in our area of New England but we don’t even have one. Now I know why we don’t, I live in a major metropolitan city that’s right on the ocean why would we need one? All and all a decent experience food was decent you get what you pay for. People were very hospitable and helpful just not in any rush for sure.

Of course, not a 5 star restaurant, but it's at 5 star red lobster. Efficient, friendly staff. The Captain's feast and shrimp/linguini were really good. Worth getting off the highway for.

Had the catfish. It was not on the menu when I looked but the listed on the online menu. I opted for the side salad and upgraded the mashed potatoes the ones with lobster. Definitely worth the premium. The rolls were hot and fresh they didn't skimp at all. Waitress and staff were very attentive and courteous.

I was the pessimist in our group of four as to what we would experience both in quality of food and service. The sample appetizer was great. The service was prompt and friendly. When the main courses came everyone was very satisfied, including me. The only thing they could of done better was to make a better mixed drink. We will coming back.
