Very enjoyable atmosphere and a great menu selection. The historic log house setting adds to the dinning experience and the grounds make for a perfect before or after stroll. The service is also very friendly and welcoming.

A truely unique dining environment!!! Absolutely not to be missed. Be willing to relax and take time to explore the interesting buildings, gardens, and gift shops. I have been making a point to stop and eat here on my travels for roughly 25 years and have always had an enjoyable and memorable experience.

A locally owned restaurant in downtown Wytheville, Log House 1776 has southern, well prepared meals in a bit of a quirky environment. The restaurant is split between multiple historic buildings with gardens, gift shops and animal cages in between. Dining on a Tuesday night, we were presented with a 45 minute wait; however it seemed the wait staff was overstretched. Food was enjoyable, with the "confederate" stew as a highlight. Overall a good place to get dinner if you are in the area.

ADORABLE!! What a unique place. We stopped for lunch but got much more. Sweet little bunnies and birds on the property, a beautiful garden, and charming gift shops. Food was delicious and service pleasant and prompt. We would have spent more time just walking around the property if we didn’t need to get back on the road.

Great local spot. There's a lot of history involved with the log house and you can feel is as soon as you pull in. The restaurant is very nice if on the pricier side for the area. I personally prefer to dine in the bar area but the restaurant proper is nice as well. Personally recommend the catfish, it's a large helping and is delicious.
