The food and service at Bella is nothing short of the best I’ve been eating there 25 years highly recommend Neil and his crew for an outstanding evening cheers
The Bella Italia experience was a highlight of our trip to the Pacific Northwest. We were impressed with exceptional service, as the warm staff team so kindly gave us several recommendations for travel in the area (which turned out to be some of our favorite parts of the trip). It is a true pleasure meeting the owner; Neil. The food exceeded all expectations. I ordered "Bella's Mushroom Ravioli" (which I have long anticipated as a Twihard), and my partner ordered the "Smoked Salmon Fettuccini." We both agreed the dishes were some of best pasta we've ever eaten. Great location, too... Just a few miles away from the ONP ranger station and Hurricane Ridge hiking trail, and steps away from the sea! Eager to return when in the area again! (Pictured is a very happy me with "Bella's Mushroom Ravioli," and incredible local wine.
These are seriously kind people. We are in Port Angeles waiting to get home to Victoria and everything is shuttered. They are making us to go food and sent out a glass of wine to keep us warm while we waited. We think their wonderful kindness is fabulous. Will review the food next but I know it will be great?
I am back with my food review.
My husband had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I had the large salad with chicken to go.
Firstly, the food was packaged beautifully so that hot didn’t ruin cold. Secondly, both dishes were the best we had had in 5 days of travelling. Thank you for giving us this terrific food to enjoy. The salad was the best with lots of extras and lovely chicken. My husband really enjoyed his fettuccine. We will be back??
The food was tasty and attention was paid to the marriage of flavors. The issue I have had is the lack of detail in the service and apparently the "lack of communication" amongst those serving. I have had a Valentine's day reservation lost a few years ago, but all ended well and we were seated at table #5. As a surprise, I made another reservation for tonight, the day before Valentine's and requested table #5. We arrived promptly and were shown to a booth, not the table I requested. When I asked for a way to make sure my reservation was not lost a third time, I was told that they were sorry, but there had to have been a miscommunication or the person who took my reservation didnt know how to put in the request. My question was not answered. Needless to say, it will be several years before I try this again.
My friends and I were looking for a good Italian restaurant in Port Angeles and we ended up visiting Bella Italia. We eventually realized that quite a few people come here because of Twilight, though I don't see that as the only reason to check the place out. The restaurant features a quaint moody atmosphere, decent food, and scrumptious desserts. The service was okay, though it was probably a busy night for them so they did the best they could.
