Barlows Public House

Had dinner and drinks with friends from out of town. My first time there. The service was adequate. The beer wall was pretty cool and will come in handy when really thirsty and you just can't wait. I thought the menu offered a nice variety to choose from. The steak was very good. Cooked as desired. The jalapeno cornbread was perfect. The fish and chips were tasty and not overly breaded or very greasy which is typical of most pub food. The chicken and waffles were pretty good. Usually tough to get them both done well enough, but Barlow's has it down. I could eat a bucket of chicken and mounds waffles. Next time back I'll have to try some of their bourbons.

Ate with 6 people & everything was PERFECT!!! Fish & chips - soft but crunchy. Jalepino coleslaw was great. Best french fries I've ever had. Chicken & waffle was phenomenal - the cinnamon waffle is everything. They have a beer, wine, & cider tap bar which is unique & lots of fun. Great customer service & beautiful views. Will be back!

Great service, and while I loved my meal, my husband was not very happy to get his chicken and waffles that came with a mixture of chicken breasts and wings. This is pretty weird, but the bigger issue was that the menu didn't say that it was breast and wing. The manager definitely made things right though. The pour your own beer wall is pretty cool, but does seem to add up quickly since you're paying by ounce instead of by glass. Overall, we will be going back again.

Fantastic place. Food is quality and well made. Lot of different items for everyone. Great beers and you can even pour it yourself and pay by ounce. Brand new and innovative place. Great views on the water. Good value for being right on the waterfront. Definitely will be coming back

We had dinner at Barlow’s Public House last night and it was such a great experience. We made a reservation the day before and they were able to seat us right away.

We started with the house made chips and pimento, guacamole and salsa. It was delicious. The pimento was on point- and I consider myself an expert having grown up in Texas.

My uncle visiting from Texas ordered the shrimp and grits and was thoroughly impressed! I ordered the chicken street tacos and they were delicious. My husband enjoyed his hot fried chicken sandwich. And the 4 year old even loved his fish and chips.

Plus the decor and all the details are beautiful! We had a great time and will be back soon!

Bonus points for our server acting scared when our 4 year old was pretending to be a dinosaur. The fries are Dino and kid approved!
