WildFin American Grill - Vancouver

Had a lovely Sunday brunch there today. Table right on the water side, despite gray skies, we had a most wonderful view. The service was excellent (Tori was attentive, kind, and competent). We were at Wild Fin in October and had a really unpleasant experience so glad we gave them another shot. Good job vancouver!

I took my family to WildFin on New Year's Eve. I had a party of 15. One of the restaurant managers was good to reply to my request for reservation, and to confirm actual number the day before. The server was great, the decor is appealing and the location is excellent. I was not impressed with the food quality or presentation. Considering the pricing, I was expecting a fairly high quality presentation, and less of a mid-scale chain restaurant quality of food. It wasn't down to a Red Lobster quality, but not elevated as much above that as I expected for the price. That all said, I had bought gift certificates for 35% off at Costco, so I felt like I received a fair value for what I actually paid. If I had been paying full price, I would have felt cheated. I hope this was a one-off and/or the restaurant leadership gets on top of their game. I love the location, and want to see a high quality restaurant really win in that space!

Had such a great experience! This was my first time checking out the new Vancouver waterfront. I loved the new area and parking was nice and convenient. Everything about our visit was perfect, the host was super friendly and even seated us at a nice window table. The server was also very helpful, he made suggestions for us and came up with substitution ideas for their featured dish the Sword fish. It came with a brocollini and my husband was not a fan and was able to substitute a salad for no extra charge. I ordered the seafood Alfredo and was not disappointed! There was so much actual seafood in the dish and wasn't just pasta with a little bit of fish thrown in like you get a lot of places. The flavors from both dishes were very unique! The prices here were extremely reasonable given the atmosphere and ingredients. I cant wait to come back again with family, want to try some of their appetizers! Would recommend to any seafood lover looking for a nice evening out.

On the fly called this new Vancouver waterfront location, no wait but I am sure it gets busy. The old fashioned house drink was some of the smoothest Bourbon I have had. We wanted to sample some seafood so tried the chowder, spot on! Nothing to overpowering, full of all the good stuff and great flavor. The smoked salmon spread, wild caught shrimp and smoked salmon salad all had great balance. The flavors were refreshing, everything tasted fresh and we will definitely be back.
