    First time this week. After growing up and being stationed in the south with the Navy, I can say this would be above average in Louisiana, but here in Vancouver, I know of no place that can come close to it.
    If you're a purist, this place is more Creole than Cajun so more Commander's Palace than Dooky Chase - but its really good nonetheless.

    Homemade Dark Roux Gumbo was loaded with protein and didn’t have a bunch of okra as filler (has none actually). I had an off menu Po Boy that was otherworldly. So, I would make the assumption their shrimp one is fantastic as well. They know how to fry their food properly and with spice. Etouffee tasted like grandma’s. All in all, hands down best Cajun in Portland metro. Also good to meet a fellow Louisianaiana in the NW!
