Cama Beach Cafe and Catering

Went with my daughters and one of their boyfriends. We all had something different and it was all amazing. My vegetarian daughter had the best Reuben sandwich and she gave me a bite.
I will be ordering it next time! So good, actually I prefer it to the most version. The setting is wonderful as well, but dress warmly unless it's hot outside. The space is cavernous because they also host special events there.
Finally, there are three fabulous quilts adorning the walls and they are worth a close inspection.

A local gem for a fabulous breakfast with a view! They bake all their goods fresh. The biscuits and gravy are to die for! Be sure to try a scone. Keep in mind that things move at a slower pace on the Island, so relax and enjoy and talk with your server. Obviously it can get a bit busy on nice summer weekends. In the winter they are only open on weekends.

I was blown away by this state park cafe. Cozy yet open and spacious, friendly and conversational service, and great coffee by Herkimer served. I got what might be the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had; a but less thick than I'm used to, big chunks of delicious sausage, slices of hearty biscuit, and several varieties of delicious mushrooms. The rest of the party got soup or sandwiches and loved their plates also.

So the food here is excellent, BUT there are so many failings here in terms of service, organization, and value that I am forced to frio the score down to a 3. We had to prompt our server for menus, water, plates! I thought this was a restaurant!! On top of that they pushed us towards the family style breakfast which is the worst value around because what they do is just charge you for a full meal but make you share with multiple people. What a concept! So for four people who got the family breakfast they only gave us 3 pastries and sad portions of everything else. And it took FOREVER to come. I truly hope the owner and management rethink this approach and train the staff appropriately as it is a real shame.

Great place for breakfast! Stopped in with some local friends. Staff was friendly and the food outstanding!
