Cozy atmosphere. Great food at reasonable prices. Had the special herb crusted halibut with veggies. Fish was a little on the dry side but super good. Great wine and beer local selection. The chocolate mouse was to die for as well. Highly recommend
This is a cool place in a cool town. The menu is creative and varied, but the best thing is probably the Penn Cove mussels in the wine/garlic/cream sauce. Penn Cove mussels are the pride of the town, and this dish does them up wonderfully! Even some interesting beverage options, like blood orange sparkling water and old fashioned root beer. It's a block up from the main street and waterfront, but well worth the few extra steps.
The name has changed but the menu is still very similar.
I found the tomato soup to be a bit spicier than it used to be. It was still very good and just cheesy enough! The bread that came out with it was a little disappointing.
It had a pretty dry crust and wasn’t all that warm. At first I had even thought it was stale. But it looked like they just kept it in a bread warmer. Guess it’s not the most efficient!
The burger and the fish tacos were delightful. They were full of flavour and dripping with a whole lot of good sauces! Plus they were do pretty (we even saw the chef snap a picture before sending it out!)!!
I’m so pleased to see owner Brian Cedar at the helm of this beautifully located restaurant. The service is everything you hope for in a relaxed dining experience, and the food is superb. Those of us who loved Christopher’s over the years will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Currents Bistro, and I look forward to what Brian has in store for us in the future.
