John Howie offers the finest dining experience that I have witnessed in Seattle.
The wait staff is very attentive to your needs from the moment you park your car with valet. Give your ticket to your waiter and they will just add the cost of parking to your bill.
No time to wait or don’t feel like being super formal with dinner? Pop into the bar for quick bites and casual conversation.
What am I not saying: To many this is an over priced menu. It is hard to find an all inclusive luxury dining experience outside the novelty like Canlis.
John Howie has done it and it’s worth every penny.
Go, book your reservation. When it’s the best thing ever come back and like my review so that I know I’m on the right track. Check out some of my other reviews. Let’s we where Seattle can take us next.
Happy Dining!
I am extremely happy with John Howie Steak! I have been a Met Grill guy but now I think John Howie is right next to Met Grill if not better. The steak is supreme! Consider the portion, the price is reasonable. The server was excellent. I enjoyed his friendliness and helpfulness!
The only one thing I have a problem is the receptionist. She seemed to focus on the computer screen in front of her. Greeting guests seemed to be second priority to her, which was odd because greeting guests should be her first job I assume. It took a while before I got to my table. Right before I left the front, the receptionist told me she would take my friend to the table when she arrived. Then, my friend told me, the receptionist made her waited while she was working on the computer screen, even though my friend knew I was inside already. After a few minutes, my friend just walked in herself. Perhaps, the receptionist was busy with another project that she was given by her boss (I have no ideas what was going on) but if that was the case, someone should also be there to help her out. Making guests wait while they work on the computer screen gave a bad impression.
Pricey, but worth every cent! Definitely a high end establishment, however, the feel is welcoming of anyone. That is a rare combination. The bartender, Bradley, did not just ask us our drink choices but also conversed with us as well. Made the night all the more better. Along with our server, Reuben, who made our dining experience above top notch. He was truly a gentleman's gentlemen.
A friend and I went. He had been there before I hadn't. The food was very very good. The server and wait staff were all really nice and friendly.
I had steak and it was cooked just right. The sides we shared were good.
The place was very clean and our server was great, offering fresh ground pepper on everything. And when we ordered dessert she scrapped the table off with a metal thing. I thought it was cool, but I also don't eat out much. Let alone to places of that quality. Our water glasses were topped off often. And never allowed to empty. When I was walking out the staff thanked me and said to have a good night.
The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. All in all great place. With amazing staff.
