Auntie Irene's

The food is always good. The staff is usually very friendly however they stay super busy so sometimes they can seem short. The food is worth it if you aren't in a hurry or dying of hunger, however the wait is usually long to get your food.

I've had several sandwiches there, a good choice. Also ice cream, toys, and games keeps the grandkids very happy. And of course good coffee with as wide a selection of alternative milks as any good independent coffee place in Seattle offers.

I live 2 blocks from here and 2 miles from Starbucks. I stopped going to Starbucks to support local business. I’ve stopped by twice and both times I’ve had poor service from the young females up front. They don’t let you even finish an order before yelling final prices at you. You feel rushed. There is no dialogue. Just them yelling prices at you while you’re trying to finish your coffee order. I ordered a drink and the girl wouldn’t even let me finish; she kept trying to get rid of my cup I was giving her my milk substitution and other alterations to my order. With that being said, Starbucks has better service than here. Drive 2 miles to Starbucks instead.

Update: Came back a third time. Karli was an amazing soul. The girl with blond hair and blue eyes who likes to keep her name tag cover and roll her eyes at everyone was still there rolling her eyes at me and she didn’t even help me! Thanks for listening to everyone vent about the cranky crew Karli!

As one of only two stores in the Puget Sound area that sells licorice ice cream, I had to visit Auntie Irene's to try the flavor. It's a cozy structure, with highly competent staff, and a wide array of coffees, other beverages, and food. If I lived in the area, then I could see myself become a regular customer as it has such a welcoming atmosphere that I must recommend the establishment.

This place is such a great place to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee. It’s adorable and lovely inside. The staff are super friendly. Definitely stop in if you need a quick bite.
