The fish soup is the only dish, and it's amazing. If you like sauerkraut fish, this place is the greatest. If you don't like sauerkraut fish, go somewhere else
This soup should come with instructions. It’s so good if you LOVE spicy food. If you don’t LOVE it DO NOT go here. Really. But if you love lovely and spice and soup you are in for a treat.
Make sure you order extras in the soup and refuse to star until you get your rice (order rice)
The fish is delicious - very fresh in big portion! We didn't finish the small one by two people. We also ordered deep fried milk(?) dessert. They are crispy and sweet at a right spot. I totally recommend this restaurant.
We stumbled upon this place while running errands and was not disappointed!
First there was prompt, courteous service - the entire time! I'm talking water refills, napkin refills, cleaning plates off the table as they were finished...all without having to ask for the items. I was one of those silly people who left my card in the check presenter and the server ran out of the building to ensure I didn't forget it!
Second, the food is DELICIOUS. They only serve one item as an entree which is what you see in the middle of my photo - a giant chili filled tilapia soup. It's filled with pickled cabbage, pepper corns, ginger as well as a few other flavorful items. You then add in other items like tofu, mushrooms, lotus root...etc.
Additionally, they have a set of appetizers & cold side dishes to accompany the soup which you can see we also ordered in our photo. The chicken wings are SO GOOD. I definitely recommend breaking them into pieces and placing in the soup broth along with a wad of Chinese Bread or even the Chinese Donuts!
My only wish was to serve other types of fish to be placed in the stew as I would have paid an additional fee for a nicer flaky white fish. :)
I don't understand the whiners with their negative reviews. Overpriced? Did you expect to pay $10 because of the location? Overall, I think the place is great. Superb sauerkraut fish, not too many side dishes but authentic and really good ones. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Will certainly go back and recommend to others and hope the whiners do stay away.
