Amazing traditional and authentic Mexican food. I love mole so I was happy to see so menu dishes on the menu including different varieties. The spicy peanut salsa and guacamole was fantastic too, great with freshly made chips. They've got a bar and heated outdoor seating as well. We'll be back soon.
El Moose is a fantastic Mexican restaurant near the old Ballard area. It's very authentic, has a decent sized menu, good variety, good prices and really good tasting food. Although they are open for dinner as well, they are really known for their great brunch. Their staff is very friendly and food comes out pretty quick here. Drinks are on the smaller side but they are quite strong. Parking can be tough in this area too. Would highly recommend coming here if you haven't before.
Amazing Mexican brunch!! Their house made tortilla chips are seriously the best I've ever had, esp with their salsas and chunky guacamole done properly. They are just thick, salty, crunchy pure happiness.
Loved my Mexican egg scramble (name escapes me presently) and the warm tortillas it came with made it super, super filling. Also their horchata latte was divine, and appreciate that they have oat milk. I also recall years ago coming here and being blown away by a dish with chicken liver and a mind blowing mole sauce... guess I'll have to come back soon for dinner and see if they still have it :) Also the space is super colorful and charming and the staff very sweet and helpful~ highly, highly recommend!!
Despite the name change and some minor tweaks, it seems like the same good Mexican place to me. I was relieved. I got take out. I'd be happy to come back soon and dine in.
