Empire Espresso

Great place for an espresso. The hazel nut milk is interesting but not my favorite. Food menu looks good still definitely try next time. Lovely really cool mugs that adds to the experience!

Some of the best coffee I have ever had. Their espresso is so creamy! They roast the beans in house and make sure you try the cashew milk!!! If I could give Empire Espresso a higher rating I would. The owner was so kind and the coffee was amazing! I will be back with friends!

I stopped here before yoga class.Loved the lavender espresso coffee and orange scone. The squash loaf was a deal breaker for breakfast and the teas are fine! Small inside for a quick sit and go.

Always a great way to start the morning. I love coming to this spot in Columbia City. It is tucked down Edmonds Street. It has a great vibe and you have to get there early to get a table. They do have an upstairs work area with kid friendly tools. Definitely recommend this place. Bring headphones if you get distracted easily.

I was excited to see there is new seating upstairs because the benches downstairs are too high for the tables. The setting upstairs is nice but they ended up turning on music upstairs which clashed with the music playing downstairs. Employee refused to turn off the music upstairs because people have complained about it being too quiet. But I was the only one up there! The clash of sounds ran me out of there. Too bad! Was trying to give this place another try. Great food, great coffee. Uncomfortable seating downstairs and straight noise upstairs due to clashing music. I'll have to find another place. :(
