    Tasty, tasty, tasty!

On a three-day trip through the city, I was lucky to stumble across this gem. I found Hattie's Hat Restaurant only after finding my intended spot to be closed (luckily Hattie's is an open-late kind of spot).

After much trepidation, I went through with the Chicken Fried Chicken Breakfast, which was delicious and bigger than I'd've thought. Two eggs, two slices of toast, and plenty of hash browns (cooked to a tender, not crispy finish), plus the well-regarded Fried Chicken with country gravy. It was satisfying, well-cooked, and delivered with excellent service.

The place was crawling with hipsters and filled with eerie, but cool art. Everything was covered with mahogany-colored varnish, and the place just felt warmly.

Don't think too hard--just roll down to Ballard Industrial and make the best of it!

Despite hard wooden booths and a back section closed til evenings on weekdays, the food and coffee are pretty darn good, solid items, portions are large for somebody mid-size like me, and the booze ain't watered down, if you just wanna hitch up yet horse at the watering hole.

Best of all, they leave you alone to eat, digest, and dream. Of more coffee!!

Best bang for you buck breakfast place I've been to in Ballard. Great food and some unique twists on traditional breakfast food.

I'd suggest the Ballard scramble which is scramble eggs with salmon and cream cheese (weird idea but tastes great).

Went for breakfast there this morning. Everything was perfect. We were greeted with a smile, our bartender/server was super cute and we loved everything about her, our mimosas were great, food was great, awesome atmosphere. Had to walk out with a hat and a couple stickers so I can rep Hattie's back in Wisconsin! Thank you! ♥️
