Have dinner here twice in recent months, both times the experience was excellent. Great ambiance, dark and stylish. Loud, but not overwhelming so. The food and wines are what really make it work though, tried a variety of both with no disappointments. Some favorites: garlic prawns, pork belly, spinach croquettas. Had a nice chat with the manager or owner, he gave us complementary glasses of wine after. Looking forward to our next visit.
Spacious dining area, well appointed. Still has an intimate feel. Great food (the pork belly is awesome) and service. And the bar is top notch. Try the grilled peach juice non-alcoholic drink. It's a knock out
Came here on a Thursday night and there was a good amount of customers, but still ample seating. I sat outdoor and it was comfortable temperature and warm lighting. Shout out to Martha and the other servers for being amazing wait staff. Got the red sangria, corn tostada, and short rib entree. Corn tostada was good but I don't know if it's $4 good. Short rib was fairly good but could be more well balanced; gnocchi inside the dish was cut too large, the dish was more soupy than I expected, but the meat was cooked well.
Herb and Bitter always has delicious drinks and cocktails. Its been so nice to get to-go cocktail kits/food and now, individual to-go cocktails. Sienna always goes above and beyond. She knows what questions to ask to make sure you get exactly what your looking for while making the best suggestions. Herb and bitter is one of the best spots in Capitol Hill for food and cocktails.
