Island Soul Rum Bar & Soul Shack

This place was really good. Wish I had pictures but I was so hungry. I ordered the catfish and grits. It came with eggs and a piece of toast. Very filling. I'd definitely go back! It's a small space so plan to wait.

Visited for our anniversary dinner after a recommendation from our air b&b host. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The fried catfish and greens were the best I've had since my last visit to the South. Also the curry muscles were spot on. The cocktails were generous as was our server.

Haven't been here in 4-5 years. The prices are very steep but the food was better than good. I got the Calypso wings for the first time and they were amazing. And the red velvet cupcake was phenomenal. Haven't had one that was so moist and delicious in a long time. 4 stars.

The atmosphere was interesting. They had bright lights but it made things feel very exposed and not that intimate. It was hard to tell what they were going for. Regardless lighting won't keep me from coming again. The food was delicious and flavorful and the service was fantastic. Would recommend for something your pallet isn't use to. :)
