This is actually quite good Chinese-American food for a great price. (Yes, I know it's not "real" Chinese. It's Chinese-American, and it's good.) They overload their trays- you can easily get 2 nice meals from a single 2-entree combo.
Their lo mein is excellent and flavorful. I generally ask for just lo mein instead of the normal fried rice / lo mein split. I tend to prefer the non-battered-chicken dishes, but the General Tso's / orange / seseme chicken is still ok here (but not excellent). I prefer their Mongolian beef, veggies with beef / chicken, etc.
A hole-in-the-wall, more Chinese “street” style version of Panda Express. Their Chow Mein has a strong wok taste. The Orange Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken were dry, sticky, and thickly breaded. Portions are large but their prices are higher.
This was my childhood “if we get Magic Dragon mama got money this week” 5 star type meal. Magic Dragon been holding it down in the South End! Same lady still remembers us as kids growing up! Appreciate ya!
