Went here as a group of 3. We split everything - green beans, Brussels sprouts, vegetarian rolls and drunken chicken.
The food was really good, plus plenty of vegetarian options to make it easy for the friend who is vegetarian. The drunken chicken tasted like a sesame chicken unexpectedly but was also good.
Nice list of cocktails as well
We all tried each other's dishes and I suggest everybody does this because everything is so good! My friends ordered the (insanely velvety) Monsoon Seattle , steak and noodles (oh my god the Monsoon Seattle stir fry is to die for), and prawns over mushroom risotto. I think I loved the latter the most. Although it was the furthest thing from being Asian (even though it had dancing bonito flakes on top), the textures and flavors were out of this world and so very memorable. We almost cried.
We loved the food here so much on Chrstmas Eve that we came back New Year's and again to celebrate my daughter's birthday with some of her co-workers. Great for vegetarians, as are most Vietnamese restaurants, but they have more original dishes and intense flavors. We loved the taro cakes, the fried tofu and the eggplant.
Very friendly staff, cool ambience and DELICIOUS food! The happy hour makes a few small plates here more affordable and in the summer time the patio seating is delightful.
When I was last here, my server Erika was delightful. She was very accommodating when we had an extra person join us late and had the best recommendations for food. The drunken chicken is a must! I’ll definitely be back to Monsoon soon.
