Very good Oaxacan fare with good service. We do the pork mole and shrimp dishes. They’ve got a nice little salsa bar and serve up healthy sized portions.
One of the servers can be pretty grumpy, but everyone else there is lovely.
My son likes the fried grasshoppers; you put a little lime juice and chili on them, they’re quite tasty and a unique treat.
There’s a lot of Americanized Mexican and Chinese places around, these guys are not one of them.
I knew I was in for a treat when I had the house made chips and was directed to the salsa bar. A salsa bar is a good sign. And I wasn’t wrong. Four meals were ordered and midway through we were all talking about what we were going to have when we returned. This is good freshly made Mexican food. This is not “all dishes have orange melted cheese and look the same” Mexican food.
Cute place to have a cozy dinner with close friends or family. Warm fresh tortillas really made the dishes special.
The food was really tasty, especially the tacos al pastor. Getting the chips and salsa was a good move... the salsa bar is definitely worth it for the hot salsa alone!
Amazing food! Very authentic Mexican food, with fresh ingredients and great service. I had the Tacos El Pastor, and they were excellent - very flavourful and fresh. I look forward to returning again!
