There isn't much I can say about this place that hasn't already been said. We've been spending a lot of time in the area, so we've been looking for good spots to grab either lunch or dinner and this place kept showing up on my radar. We decided to get a late lunch here and we were pretty lucky to find the dining area pretty empty. I'm sure we were in the sweet spot between lunch and dinner rushes.

We ordered the big pretzel with mustard and I was blown away. Best pretzel I've ever had. It tasted like a real pretzel, and it was soft and warm and fluffy. Nothing like ones you find in ballparks or malls or grocery stores. It has changed the way I view pretzels and I'm afraid I'll probably never be able to eat a bad pretzel again.

We also ordered the family platter for two and the portion was over the top huge. We barely made a dent in it between the two of us. I'm not sure if this is a family friendly place, because they kept asking if we were 21 even though we weren't in the bar, but we'd love to bring our son here with us next time to help us eat all of the food. All of the items were so good. From the schnitzel and spatzel to the different sausages and cabbage items. The gravy is magical and sets everything over the top, so be sure to ask for it. I found myself going back over and over again for more even though I was stuffed. We went home with so many leftovers that it took us almost a week to finish them off. I can't complain about the price here because of the value vs. what you get as well as the quality are all on par with each other. I suppose if you went for a reach, you could say you wish the portions were smaller, but that's not what this place is about. It's all about communal eating here, which, I guess it must be family friendly with family platters.

We do plan on coming back and trying some of the other side items, but the platter is just so good, I'm sure it will be our regular thing when we go here and are in the mood to sit and share and relax with great food. Also, our server was really great and super informative and helpful. I think he was also the bartender. Even though the dining room was empty, the bar was pretty busy, so we appreciate him taking his time to come check on us regularly. He even gave us some extra gravy when we were boxing up our food when we made a joke that there wasn't enough. That's a very nice personal touch. The entrance to this place is really cool too, and the decor and ambiance are very nice.

Bring LOTS of friends with you when you come and get ready to leave full and happy!

    Nice ambiance. Well staffed.
Cabbage, Ceasar salad and pork were too,
    too salty.
We parked on the main Street.
The server lost her pep once we paid the bill.
    Eclectic decor.
    Overall, okay experience.

Amazing German and Italian food. Their Jeager Schnitzel is to die for. I come here every time I am in the area without fail. No complaints.

The double bloody Mary was great. I got the half order of biscuits and gravy. It's different, but delicious. The biscuit was the thick doughy kind and the gravy was very rich with sausage, I think ham (some kind of small diced meat anyway), and onions. Very satisfying. The rest of their menu looks great, my appetite was just small today.

This upstairs restaurant was just what we needed for lunch. They were great about our large group, and were especially great with our two toddlers. In short, the service was outstanding. The food was pretty good, too.
