Kettlefish

Everything is really fresh and delicious! The fish and chips are the best around and the tartar sauce is amazing! We really enjoy dining here.

The food here is delicious! The clam chowder was perfect, very flavorful and the prawns were great (with another seafood soup brought home for tomorrow's dinner), but probably the best part of Kettlefish is the staff. You'd be hard put to find more friendly, informative and accommodating folks. They really are top notch and truly appreciated!

Just had lunch here today and can't wait to go back. I'll start by saying that I love seafood. Yes, they do have chowder, fish and chips. No, I didn't try them. I always hope to discover new favorite dishes. The meal I ordered was the Bouillabaisse Bowl, which was loaded with clams, mussels, crab, shrimp and cod. I opted to add crab for an additional $2. My meal was $20 which seems pricey, but with the variety of seafood, it was actually very reasonable. For the record, that's on the high end. There are several other reasonably priced options. They have a variety of unique dishes that I'm looking forward to trying. The staff was friendly and professional.

Holy Moley the shrimp cocktail is so refreshing, light, and tasty. Perfectly seasoned with a tangy cocktail sauce topper. I want to eat more than one serving. And if you like mac and cheese with crab then you'll weep tears of tasty, heavenly joy when you try theirs. Big chunks of fresh crab tossed into a magnificent creamy mac and cheese. I wish there were more locations.

Clean restaurant, professional staff, and great food. It isn't inexpensive, but the flavor is what should be expected for the price.

Clam Chowder: excellent flavor, although i personally prefer that the chunks of clam be smaller.
Fish & Chips: Only Cod available; not greasy, cooked perfectly, breading had appropriately subtle flavor and didn't overwhelm the fish; the French fries were somewhat generic, but tasted just fine - overall, it tasted great, and i have high standards for seafood, especially Fish & Chips.

i would say i prefer Kettlefish Fish & Chips to Ivar's, but Ivar's (the restaurant, not the fast food option in Seattle) also serves halibut and a has a wider menu. Ivar's, of course, is also a bit more expensive, albeit with a more upscale environment and presentation. Kettlefish is certainly better than the Ivar's fast food option, on all counts, except the personal preference of mine with regard to the clam chowder.

The Kettlefish staff was friendly and professional. They clearly know what they're doing. They only opened earlier this last Summer (2019), so all the equipment, appliances, and technology are shiny and new. Being fairly familiar with the technology, i think they made some great decisions.

i appreciated the selection of locally-brewed beverages, including a few options i had not previously seen.
