Spiro's is easily one of the best pizza joints in the area. The pizza is unique and delicious, and the selection is satisfying.
In addition, the sit down component is very impressive. The menu is very robust, from simple pastas to specialty pastas and a wonderful selection of salads.
The cherry on top, however, is the calzone which you can customize in any way you wish. What comes out from the kitchen is a well seasoned, perfectly cooked, crunchy, and delicious calzone.
At this point, you may be asking yourself "But at what cost?" You might be surprised to hear that the prices are incredibly reasonable.
This place embodies a restaurant where the staff, chefs, and owners obviously care very much. Leading to a wonderful sit-in experience for lunch or dinner.
Best place I been too in years, great food great service. This place is heavenly.
That white pizza is beyond amazing! We added onion and sun-dried tomatoes (which they didn't scrimp on.) This is possibly one of the best pizzas I have ever enjoyed.
I really like that they usually have the local newspaper available to read. It's almost nostalgic to turn the pages and smell that unique smel
Also worth mentioning, on cold, sunny winter days stop in and enjoy being bathed in light at sunset as you enjoy the water view.
Really great staff.
Pizza was okay but not good enough to justify the price. Crust was bland, cheese bread had no herbs/seasoning, there was too much cheese on both the pizza and bread, and almost no sauce on the pizza. I will say that the marinara sauce was delicious and obviously fresh. If they had put the marinara on the pizza, it would have tasted much better. As it was, the pizza sauce was lacking in flavor as well; almost like a hybrid pizza sauce ketchup that tasted canned. The staff was friendly. I would be interested to go back as a dine-in and try the Alfredo but will likely stay away from the pizza.
They're are several Spiro's in the Puget Sound region, each a separate franchise, so menu items may vary from one location to the next.
I love the view from this one in Silverdale. And even though there are televisions, the sound is turned down so you can actually have a conversation.
My go-to menu choice is the Spiro's hot sub with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami, and mozzarella cheese. I get the very generous side Caesar to go with it. Yum!
Today we also shared the cheese tortellini with pesto sauce, served with loads of bread.
BTW, they make their own bread and croutons.
Good food, great Chianti, attentive service.
