Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Best service and fabulous food. Heard angels singing with every bite of the meatloaf and mashed taters (yeah we're from east Tennessee). Steak and peppers was wonderful too. Our server La Ney was awesome. She overheard us talking about getting muffins and boxed them up for us right away. That's service like no other. We will definitely stop here the next time we come through. Hard to find great food and service being a truck driver, but it can be found here. Tip them well!!!!

As a trucker I don't often stop somewhere just to eat a hot meal but the name Perkins is one of nostalgia and fond memories. I am beyond glad that I took the time to stop here and eat. (Background info to help explain this review: I'd been having a few rough days out on the road, was feeling down and in need of a hot meal after 3 days of eating food from my truck or skipping meals.)
1. This is a very clean restaurant.
2. The staff is not only efficient but super friendly. Example: I think my waitress knew I was feeling down and took time to actually talk to me and not just check if I needed anything. The customer service here is unrivaled in today's world.
3. The food was cooked perfectly, portions were large enough I couldn't finish it all, and most importantly the food was delicious. Their bacon is something magical and must be tried to fully understand the depths of it's deliciousness.
4. They run a business that has repeat customers and they know their names. They definitely have a family vibe here and are open to inviting you to join their family, even if it's just for an hour.
Conclusion: I will stop here anytime I'm passing through the area and you should give them a try; you won't be disappointed.

Perkins has high quality in general. I have been to several in multiple states and can always count on the food quality. As with many dining experiences they are made by the staff. The service was prompt and my server was attentive to my needs. I appreciate the care taken to ensure protocols are followed as well. These times are tough on the staff, they do not need extra hassle from diners. Recommended!!
