Amazing food and customer service! The staff was super friendly and the food was fresh. My family devoured it! Try the seafood gumbo, it's packed full of flavor.

I've been driving by this place for 2 years and just now tried this place! I really wish I would have started going here a long time ago! I was in the mood for fried catfish, and JJ's was amazing. I ordered a catfish and shrimp combo, with fried okra. Very fresh and delicious! It came with two huge fillets, a good amount of shrimp, and plenty of okra. The combo meal was about $18, but I easily made two meals out of this. Worth every penny. If you love fried fish, give this place a shot!

JJs is the truth, he customized a shrimp, fish and chicken platter for me and my family because we’re particular like that. He hooked me up with a pot of gumbo for my friends potluck for a great price. He always shows respect and love to his customers. What more can I say. My favorite restaurant in Lakewood.

OMG those catfish nuggets are so SO good! The coleslaw, fried mushrooms, and hush puppies were yummy too. Don't forget to get the banana pudding too. It's not in display case so don't assume it's gone cause it's not. They keep it in the back so they can cut the bananas fresh. ???????? I'll be back soon!!

I’m from the south and have been looking for a restaurant like this for a while and couldn’t find it until now. Absolutely loved it!! The food and service was extremely amazing and outstanding!! I highly recommend it (especially the hush puppies and mac n cheese nuggets)!! Will definitely be going back.
