The Original Pancake House

My daughter and I stopped at this Puyallup Original Pancake House for a brunch. We were greeted and seated very quickly. We enjoyed the cherry crepes and Senior Breakfast ( 3 small pancakes, 1 egg, and 2 strips of fabulous thick smoky bacon!) splitting a side of seasonal fruit ( peaches and strawberries from a local farm.) We also each had a coffee for$3.29 each which I think is a little steep for just institutional coffee. However, the food and service was great!

For our first time visiting I think 5 stars is too little. The staff was very attentive, courteous, and overall very precise. I ordered the Dutch baby, my husband ordered the Tahitian maidens dream. The Dutch baby was fluffy and savory. The crepes were cooked to perfection. Not too oily and not cold. Overall I would be more than happy to come back and try other foods on their menu. Definetly would recommend.

There was a wait (as usual), but it wasn't that bad, even though they were really busy. You can even check your place in line with their Yelp connection... Pretty helpful. From the time we were seated, until we left, we were there less than 30 minutes. We all 3 ordered the country fried steak meal, so we expected it to take a little longer. Nope! Love this place. ????

It was kind of a long wait, 45 min. On a Saturday morning about 10:30. We also saw about 5 party come in the door after us and get seated before us. Then someone told us you could get put on the waiting list through yelp. So, we know for future.

Totally worth the wait! The food is really good and the flavor combinations on the pancake are very well though out. The staff is friendly and service was quick.

The only draw back is it was a little spendy. One of my sons just wanted blueberry pancakes and ordered three with a hot chocolate and his meal was just under $20!
