    It's a very standard local eatery serving up good Italian and pizzas. The one pizza I have ordered every time I come here is the porky pig pizza. It's pretty much pig 3 ways (bacon, sausage and ham) on a thin crust with BBQ sauce. Can't go wrong if you like pork.

    We have lived outside of Washington for a very long time, but when we are back in Sumner Aversano's is a must stop. A mainstay since 1977 serving excellent pizza, pasta, salad bar and surprisingly good steaks. Family friendly and a nostalgic atmosphere. Can't wait until it next visit. We'll done!

    This was my first visit to Aversanos. It's located in an odd location within a strip mall but definitely worth searching out. Great decor, service and food. I had the garlic chicken fettuccine. The self-service salad bar that appears to be included with many of the meals was outstanding. I will definitely be back.
