Excellent service, the drinks were lovely. The $49 try-a-bit-of-everything platter is good for two hungry carnivores or could easily feed four smaller appetites. The chorizo is crispy and delicious, the carne asada is juicy and well-seasoned. The salsas are quite nice, big fan of the creamy avocado one. Glasses and tortilla basket were never allowed to empty.

The food was good. However the restaurant its self is really small and it's hard to have a conversation with others there. I also got seated by the entrance which didn't help since the place was cold inside already. I had to speak Spanish the whole time to the waiters and to order which is no problem for me but my girlfriend who only speaks English found it difficult. I also had a hard time getting the waiters to come to me even though there was a little amount of customers inside. When I went to go pay I had to stand at the front for a while til someone came back from the kitchen. Price wise it's alright. I paid $34 for 2 plates of food. Also the parking lot is in a sketchy part of the city so make sure you lock your cars.

Pretty good overall. Got the crispy tacos which were made with flour tortillas and not corn which was actually a pleasant surprise! Had it with carne asada which was tasty. We shared a guacamole which we weren't expecting the size! Also came with chips and three spicy salsas. The main let down was for one you have to order rice and beans separate with most of the items, and the rice is not great. It also had diced up peas and carrots in it?? There only other thing is most stuff needed just a bit more salt. But overall, portion size was good, the mains were good, and staff was friendly.

This place instantly became one of my favorites in Tacoma! The flavors were spot on, and the the service was perfect. We went on a Monday night and it was really slow, and I got the sense that the cook and waitress were a couple, but I'm not sure if they were the owners or not. Both came out to check on us and we had a wonderful conversation with them. Best Mexican food I have ever had!
