Brass Lantern

It's Friday. I'm looking forward to a bloody Mary and a burger at the brass.
I walk in and the Bartender acknowledges my presence. Good job. Problem is she has a cell phone glued to her ear and when I try to order she can't get what I'm saying (bloody Mary) no bacon because the phone stuck to her ear was conflicting with the customer who is trying to spend money at this establishment. She comes to my table to deliver my drink and take my order and the hamburger and fries is not available because there is no cook until 3 pm on Friday she says, all the while the phone is still stuck to her ear.
So I order chicken and say " crispy crispy crispy. She places the order and delivers it to my table in record time. You guessed it. The fries are not crispy.
I wonder if the customer had been more important than the phone glued to her ear if my experience would have been what ownership and marketing would have wanted instead of me not having good things to say about the brass. One employlee wasn't trained properly and revenue potential is decreased.
Nice place other than that.

Outstanding atmosphere. Great staff and personable owners! Decent selection of beer and hard alcohol. Excellent burgers from the kitchen..hand formed patty, fresh beef, tasty onion rings on the side. Visited on a Wednesday, dart league was present. Fun, friendly, welcoming crowd! Definitely a choice place to hang out for the evening!

Love the place and the owners. Been coming here for years! Great food since the move having an actual kitchen. Great atmosphere and people are friendly!

Me and a few neighborhood patrons have oohed and ahhhed at the remodel and reopening. Been in for beers and food a handful of times in the last year. Wait staff has always been nice. I went in after a few months to get a quick burger before work. Two open seats at the bar by the door. Sat down in the last seat and was told “I know it looks like those seats are available but “. I interrupted her and said “you can just give me a menu and I’ll sit wherever you want” I was quick to perceive that some VIP has some unclear property rights to those seats. She let me go along with it. She was going to move me to another seat! I live a couple blocks from there and can’t believe they would treat anyone like that. 2pm on a Friday.
