The Spar

We sat in the back room with windows open and a delightful breeze. I had not been to The Spar before, but my companion had and suggested it. We both ordered the beer-battered Alaskan cod and fries. Excellent choice! I especially enjoyed the dark but not dark-tasting beer batter, crispy, not heavy. Paired with the dill tartar sauce, it's a winner! The fries had excellent flavor and crispiness. Then the garlic mayonnaise dip was the perfect condiment (squeeze bottle at each table). I certainly look forward to returning and trying the fried clams and another time for the prawns. Obviously, I'll need to workout between trips!

It was amazing the band was absolutely amazing and the the food was very good, inexpensive and large portions. The atmosphere was very nice. fun place to relax and and have a good time! Definitely will go again! My husband had a large plate of nachos it was huge couldn't even finish it. My friend and I had veggies and hummus very enjoyable.

This is a beautiful place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cold beer! The bartender was super knowledgeable of his beer, very friendly and fun to talk with. But most of all the cod was absolutely delicious! Some of the best fried fish I’ve ever had. 5/5 would recommend to anyone!
