Just not up to typically high Maverick standards. Mavericks are usually clean, well-maintained quick-stop c-stores that offer quality items at fair prices. The thing that sets Maverick apart from most c-store faire is the “Bonfire Fresh Food” offering, which typically consists of various breakfast style burritos and sandwiches. These are usually pretty good, if not a bit expensive. The “Chorcheezio” and “Sausage Burrito” are faves and priced at $3.99. Today, I grabbed a sausage burrito and was disappointed to find that although the ingredients are listed in order as “egg, potato, sausage & cheese” about the only thing in this sausage burrito was potatoes. A LOT of potatoes. I didn’t detect any egg to speak of, or cheese and certainly not very much of the meat that is the namesake of this particular item. Take a look at the photo. For $4, I did not expect what is essentially a tater-tot filled tortilla with a modicum of sausage thrown-in just to make it legal. Pretty much an over-priced, flavorless starch bomb. No thank you.
One of the better maveriks. Better then most any other convenient store. It's probably the best in the game. Had to get the picture of the new Ford Maverick at the Maverik.
