Wow, 5 stars down the line.. why a 4 star rating? Glad you asked! Their food was excellent! Atmosphere was fun and service was friendly... But for the price the amount was tiny. I actually left hungry. That is the only reason I can't give a full 5 stars. When I spend $18 for food I expect enough to be at least close to full. I do recommend trying the food because the flavor was excellent.
Wow....WOW.....
This place is amazing. Poppers were off the chart, beef and chicken were excellent!!! You will be hard pressed to find a better BBQ restuarant in Spokane.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Great food, great service
PICTURED: (1) Banana pudding (2) Gouda Mac (3) Pulled Pork Special (sammy) with coleslaw added
SERVICE: Always smiling helpful faces, they'll let you try sides (I tried the pickles and they were tasty!)
BRISKET: One of the best briskets in a brick-and-mortar I've been able to find in Spokane.
BEEF RIB: Last time got the Dino-Rib (Beef Rib), and though spendy... it was AMAZING! Fall off the bone, great tasting rub, I didn't want to share!
DESSERT: Their banana pudding is a MUST, and the Gouda Mac & Cheese is my kid's favorite (usually eats double vs any other meal).
Just writing this makes me want to go back for a variety of things, all so good. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
My wife and I visited Porter’s for the first time on April 8, 2023. The setup of the restaurant works like this: You order up front and they cut all meats and dish up all sides in front of you. Your tray(s) of food is ready when you pay and then you take it with you and find a table to enjoy.
We ordered the half pound of ribs, half pound of sausage, and a pint-sized side of macaroni and cheese. Our total came to $41. The sausage was actually our favorite. It was very flavorful with a pleasing texture. The macaroni and cheese was made with large shells and I loved the cheese sauce so much that I used it as a dipping sauce for the meat and was scrapping it with my spoon to finish it off long after all the shells were gone. The ribs were decent but my wife and I both agreed that we prefer baby back ribs to the St. Louis version that Porter’s serves.
Staff members are all helpful and smiley. The restaurant is clean and the line moved efficiently. I think the pricing is fair but definitely not a bargain. With that said, the food is good. We will return again.
Porter's BBQ is a real delight! Fast, friendly, and delicious, this restaurant is what North Spokane was missing. The portions are generous, and the menu is fun and semi-rotates based on the day. The interior isn't too big, but their food is equally as good as take-out as it is dine-in.
