Absolutely fantastic place. If you remember the Pine St. Theater days in Portland, this bar is owned by Al Salazar! Also of Salazar's at the mountain AND the original Duffy's in St. Johns! Yes... the old NCR building that was the domed building from the 1905 Expo that is now the Mcmenamins. Al is a Korean War veteran, 88 years old, and a living piece of amazing history. The bar has an incredible amount of relics to experience, a great deck on the river, and Lorraine is just a gem. Cannot recommend enough...
My favorite Irish pub with great Food and a view from the deck interesting display cases filled with many things that are fun to see and books you can pick up and enjoy.
In the winter there is a wood stove and tables near to stay warm
In summer you can watch salmon swimming up River to spawn.
A Hidden Gem on the back roads to the beach. Great food great service great atmosphere. Drove by it many times and glad we finally stopped. Looks like it has a great outdoor dining area but it was raining too hard this time still use it
It wasn't open but that did not stop us from stopping it just reminded me of a witches cottage and WE HAD TO STOP. There are some amazing views from here. 3 stars because I would have loved to go in
Great "quirky" place. Large plates of food, kind of costly at dinnertime. Four fried oysters with rice and beans $22. Guinness on tap $8? 6? Adds up fast. Back balcony overlooking the river-branch is cool and scenic, although the ash trays do take some of the charm away for nonsmoker diners.
