“This was my first experience with Granny's tamales and it was excellent. Tamales were tasty really flavorful. Had sides of beans and rice and they were good too. Beans were really good. The amazing thing is I live in Milton-Freewater and ordered for a Friday and for some reason their truck wasn't going to be here. The son of the owner drove out and delivered the order himself. Only my order and a special trip for him. If that isn't taking care of your customer I don't know what is. I would highly recommend Granny's and plan on being a regular customer.”

“The service was great, props to the guy who helped me both on the phone and in person. I was trying to order online and it wasn't allowing me to use two forms of payment (gift card + debit) so I think that part of their site needs some new code. Tuesday is $12 pizza and we tried a few. The Los Verdes is a good choice if you like some heat - I thought it was fantastic but too spicy for my 12 year old. The Crazy Goat is another one of my favorites, an unexpected mix of flavors and textures, worth a try if you like goat cheese! We also tried the Fon Dip and that was a big hit with my kids especially. This place has lots of options for everyone including vegetarian and gluten free options. Every time you eat there and log your phone number you earn credits so I had a discount that I could choose to use. I enjoy their unique take on pizza and will eat here again.”

“The building and tasting room are spectacular. The tasting was nice, but not nearly as personal as the others we had during our stay. The staff did give us a bit of history and explained a bit about the wines. They also had a nice card with a few notes on which the wines were placed. This was a nice touch, something I’ve seen in other countries, but the only in Walla Walla of the few we tried. Many others had a page of wines being tasted with descriptions, which serves the same purpose. Overall enjoyable, but it was more like drinking on our own with an intro rather than an interactive discussion with the winemaker.”

“Best way to describe this place is it's like your grandparents house, and Grandma's food is packing some frickin soul. This is something you go out of your way to get. Anytime you can. You know what I mean. 77 year old Thai grandma in the back cooking and her Husband John runs front of house. Talk about a power couple. Only open 5-8 but dang if you're working all day, trust me that after you come here once it's basically all you're gonna think about at work the next day, and wow what a treat after a hard day's work. I of course recommend the chicken pad Thai to start with, and ask for a little spicy if you enjoy it, but you don't have to. Lots of if items on menu. 10/10. Will be coming probably 3 days out of the week from now on. Oh and portions are big, food is even better the next day. You get your money's worth.”

“Cameo Heights is even better than I anticipated. The restaurant was better than any I have ever been to, the room was nicer than the photos, and the ambiance was perfect. I loved the zero touch check in, the texts with info, and the general welcome feel. I truly felt like I was an appreciated guest. The breakfast was fantastic, as was the wake up tray with coffee and danish. The home theater is top notch, with fantastic speakers, and comfy couches. We will definitely be back. If they had pre order picnic lunches, I would have done that. The grass was so soft, and invited a picnic :)”

Centered at the Cameo Heights Mansion in the Apple orchards that surround on the southeast, we had the privilege to dine with the owners of the mansion, Alan and Deanne Fielding. They spoke of the new chef, Rich Coby, and his love of creating a meal and his background making wine. One of a kind chef from Walla Walla that did a fantastic job creating the magic for our 7 course meal. The menu changes daily and you won’t be disappointed.
