1) Visited for lunch on a Saturday.
2) Was seated promptly.
3) Seating was comfortable and reasonably private.
4) Drink orders were taken promptly.
5) Menu includes steak, seafood, country style cooking favorites, breakfasts, etc. Excellent variety.
6) Wife ordered broiled crab cakes while I selected broiled salmon cakes. After our meals were delivered we swapped one cake so that we had one of each. Personally, I like the salmon cakes as well as their crab cakes. The crab cakes have sufficient amounts of lump crab to provide good flavor and not too much filler.
7) Broccoli was not fully tender. Corn and baked sweet potatoes were perfect. A side order of corn fritters was perfect.
8) Everyone we interacted with was friendly.
9) Meal prices were in line with other restaurants providing unique, home style cooking in the area (up to 25 mile radius).
10) We will return again. Where else can you have a genuine, live vine growing from outside to your seat inside. Been going here for years and it has always been good.

Loved absolutely everything. The atmosphere, the food, the staff, just wish we came more prepared for the prices. We were passing through and assuming family restaurant would have been more affordable. Still left extremely happy. We ordered off the kids menu and the portions were very large. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Driven by many times and finally stopped and enjoyed a delicious and hot chopped steak dinner. The hillbilly chicken was also a good deal. I won't be driving by too often anymore. Thanks for a nice pair of meals.

This is the BEST food in the state of Maryland!!!! This restaurant has quality food while not sacrificing the quantity. There's so much variety here! And to top it all off, the staff treats you like family! My favorite spot to eat and it's worth the almost 1 hour drive from Germantown, Maryland to West Virginia.

We have passed this place in the past. This time we stopped. The place is loaded with antiques. On the table was a blessing before meals. Evidence of faith is everywhere. Foid was very good hot and tasty. Service was also very good. Bathrooms are 1 person only.
