The restaurant was clean and wait staff was nice but was not impressed with the food.. I ordered taco salad but it was more as if I had gotten a plate of nachos. Was not good at all. Should have stuck to my first choice beans and cornbread you can never go wrong with beans.

Family style restaurant serving traditional WV comfort food. Portions are very generous and the staff is friendly. We ordered the hungry man breakfast, baked steak dinner, and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was creamy and not overly sweet, definitely a favorite. The hungry man included eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, meat choice, and fried apples. The baked steak came with mashed potatoes and a side; I chose Mac n cheese and added green beans. The baked steak and mashed potatoes were wonderful! The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was the lack of seasoning on much of the food. It wasn't bad, we'll come back, but salting and peppering everything was a must. Even with the seasoning the Mac n cheese and the green beans were rather bland and could use some doctoring up.

Great place for families, friends or dates. Excellent food and friendly staff.
