The Simmering Pot

This place has great food and wonderful service. The portion sizes are large. Even the quesadilla appetizer was a meal on it's own. The chef does a great job, and puts alot of effort into the taste and presentation, which you don't see to often in Fairmont. Highly recommend giving this place a try.
And for anybody wondering. You do not have to be staying at the hotel to eat rhis nice restaurant.

Not exactly what we were expecting when we stopped in. But we were greeted by a cheerful young lady and were instructed to sit wherever we'd like.
The menus doesn't have a large selection, but there are some good choices. We chose the chicken quesadilla, a burger with fries and the smothered chicken. And for such a small kitchen, we were impressed by the cooks ability to get everything just right. The food was very filling and delicious. Portion size was more than acceptable, especially the quesadilla which was large.
A few drinks at the bar and we agreed to return a few more times, each time leaving very satisfied with our decision.
The atmosphere while not being very restaurant, was very pleasing and a nice change compared to what we are used to.
The servers are very nice and their service was great at every visit. Definitely worth checking out when you're in the area. The surrounding views are worth traveling to see.
