Had an AMAZING experience here! when all other venues on the island were closed on a Saturday morning, we saw the tavern lights on and found Michelle who welcomed us with open arms!! She didn’t skip a beat to open early just for us, and her generosity and kindness was just what our group of tired moms needed to brighten our day. Service was exceptional, the tavern was warm and cozy. Next time we’re going to rent the condo units upstairs for the full experience!! Thank you Bell Street Tavern!
We were just in on Saturday morning. Michelle graciously opened early to serve our tired and overworked group of moms Bloody Mary's. Her gracious and delightful service literally moved us to happy tears! We left promising to name our next babies after her and agreed that our experience at the Bell Street Tavern was a core memory! The drinks were wonderful. We will be back again on our next visit to the island!
We used the Bellstreet Tavern to host our wedding dinner and have been working with them for 3 years due to delays with COVID. The event space coordinator, Michelle, was super helpful in connecting with our catering team as well as our coordinator team to make sure the day went smoothly. The space is beautiful and was perfect for our intimate wedding dinner of about 40 people. The bar tending staff was also incredibly helpful for our guests. The only thing we noticed was that there was a wedding on Friday night (the night before ours) and that wedding party did not seem to follow the contract rules of being fully cleaned out by 10 AM the morning of our wedding. My friends and wedding coordinator that set up the dinner space had a lot of extra stuff to clean up (we did tell the other wedding party they could leave just a few things for us to re-use) and move around for the previous event and there was also a lot of garbage and cigarette butts on the ground of the outdoor patio space that our friends had to clean up before our wedding party showed up.
We organised our wedding reception at the Bell Street Tavern and would highly recommend it! Michelle and her team were flexible and receptive to our suggestions on the food menu (the kitchen did an excellent job) and drinks selection. The dining room was beautiful in the evening light for our reception dinner and we had a great time turning the back room into a dancefloor !
Food was good. We had the whitefish benny with mushroom cream sauce and strawberry crema french toast. Not many stawberries. Mimosa was warm. Staff was very friendly and when we did see them very helpful. They seemed very understaffed. No view of anything from the restaurant. It is usally an event center. Side note take a look at the placemaps they have. The show madeline island with some key locations. The legend shows bathrooms. See if you can find the bathroom
