“Service was prompt, friendly, and excellently balanced between not to much interaction and not to little. The food was greatly portioned as to not over or underfeed. The prices were more than fair, the environment not to mellow or over the top. Last but certainly not least the coleslaw damn the coleslaw it was sweet with a little dill taste not to watery and plenty of crunch that is the hardest thing for me to find some good coleslaw. Everyone should give it a shot alone as a couple or even a family gathering.”

“I work there as a crew trainer and when the extremely sever weather hit the crew members went into the lobby area and helped the customers out and told them they were safe there. It was amazing that they did that because we don't train them to do that. A few other crew trainers and I helped kids and other people when they were having anxiety attacks.”

There's a brewery inside as well that speaks to its local charm having named the various brews after areas in town. The owners were warm and inviting. “For me, hands down the best BBQ in the Chippewa Valley. It all starts with the quality of the meat, and Karl's seems to choose the best around. Their brisket is always high-quality, and the rib meat is really tasty and plenty of meat on the bone. Neither has a ton of gross fat or meager portions like, ahem, some other establishments. The sauce selection is great, too! For me, the ribs and the brisket are the best in the CV. The other types of meat are REALLY good, too. Fries are ALWAYS piping hot. It's always telling when a BBQ place runs out of meat before the end of the day, and that can be a regular occurrence here -- but don't get mad, get there earlier ;)”

“Like the environment. I like how its a bar, but there's also booths for seating to eat. Had the fish on Friday this time and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm very particular about my fish and tartar sauce but they gave me two pretty decent size pieces, fries, coleslaw and toast and I wanna say it was only $10. Fish and tartar were both good. Service is pretty decent, nice views from inside and they have good burgers too. There's also a separate space you can use for little parties.”
