Potbelly Sandwich Shop

This joint is sweet! ...and the food is good too.

My partner and I were in a phase where he really liked getting good tasting sandwiches during a hot summer, and not needing to cook in our apartment, which had a "blow it back in your face" fan over the stove. We went to every sandwich shop then in the area - meaning within two miles of the American Family "Campus." Potbelly ended up being our favorite. Nice fresh ingredients, friendly staff, efficiency, and it is always kept clean and tidy.

I really enjoyed my sandwich; I ordered a Wreck. My reasons for only 3 stars are the kids options and the seating. One of my kids had the PB&J and another had the cheese pizza sandwich. Both sandwiches were served on toasted sub rolls same as the adult sandwiches. The bread was very difficult for my 6-year-old and 2-year-old to chew. I figured PB&J would be served on regular sliced bread. It seems like the cheese pizza sandwich could be served on a soft kaiser roll or something. My 8-year-old and 4-year-old liked the mac 'n' cheese. As far as seating goes, we were a family of 6; there was only one table that could seat that many people and it was occupied by 2 people--and a ton of two-seater tables open. So if you are hoping to eat inside the restaurant with more than 4 people total, don't go here. We had to squeeze uncomfortably around a four seater booth. There was not even a way we could have moved tables together based on the way the store is arranged. Overall, great place for on-the-go sandwiches for adults but not a great option for young families or those with more than two kids who want to eat in the restaurant.
