The menu is absolutely amazing... so many fantastic choices. The eggs are great quality, perfectly poached too! The service is kind and friendly. You can't go wrong with any of the options, you'll be back to try more!
I should start by saying that the main attraction of this restaurant is beer, which is something that I do not drink at all. Therefore, please understand that my review is based solely on the food that I had and not on the selection of beers or their taste. For those who like beer, check this place out to see if it is to your liking.
The interior of this place is unique and intriguing. I thought that the decorations created an atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy a good conversation over a meal and some drinks. In particular, the area behind the counter is quite nice since there is a lot of natural light coming in. I am sure that on a sunny day, that spot will be particularly eye catching.
I did not order much, just the jambalaya. This was my first time eating jambalaya so I have nothing to compare it too, but I thought it was OK. Not saying that it was bad, but I was expecting more synergy of flavors in a dish that has so many different ingredients. Yet, that was not really the case. Each ingredient retained its own flavor, but did not really share it with everything else on the plate. Even the sauce felt like a different item on the plate rather than being something that ties everything together. Perhaps this is the nature of the jambalaya and not of the restaurants food. Either way, cannot say that I was too impressed with my dish.
Great service, atmosphere, food and drinks (NA and A). Ordered the Florentine Benedict and was delicious. It's a small kitchen so the wait was longer but it was well worth it. Highly recommend. Dates, family and brunch they do it all.
Delicious. The menu is small, but well thought out. I appreciate not having to make a decision when there are a million choices. And the entree preparation is superb. The sandwich was to die for. Did not have a beer, but vast selections. I feel like there is not enough talk about Cafe Hollander around town with my beer friends!
