Husband and I stopped for dinner. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich with a handful of sides.
The pulled pork was two big fatty clumps and not really appealing.
The brisket was *chefs kiss* it was tender, sliced thin, and the char on the outside was perfect.
The Mac and Cheese was great. The green beans were a little soft but flavorful. The bbq beans were tasty but very sweet. As for the cornbread, I need a full size loaf.

Ribs were meaty and tasty. A bit more spicy than some but very good. Wait for carryout was not bad. A little pricey but no effort to "force a tip" as I am seeing more in other places.

Food was good, especially the brisket, so we’ll try again later and update review, but they definitely have some issues to work out as they’re starting up.

-CHECK YOUR TAKEOUT ORDER: food delivered curbside quickly, but we were missing about a third of our order. Went in to get our missing items and the young man helping us handled it well.

-ONLINE ORDERING: really convenient, but maybe due to a glitch, the only part of our order that let us pick out sauces was ordering a half pound of meat. None of our other meat selections prompted us to pick a sauce so we only got one cup of sauce for several pounds of meat.

We ordered from here last night, and I think there are still a few kinks to work out in their service. I did curbside pick-up and phoned in from my spot when I got there. It was an appropriately long time from when I’d ordered and I did the On My Way text reply as directed. I sat in my car for kind of a while (maybe 10 minutes?) and lots of other cars came and went and got their food very efficiently. Finally the young man who was running orders came and asked me for my name, and soon after, I got my food. I think it had been sitting ready for the whole time I was waiting.

The next screw up was that none of us got Texas toast with our ribs, which I thought was the default. I didn’t notice this until I got home and didn’t want to go back and make a scene about it. Also, two of us ordered original sauce and one wanted sweet, but all the little cups had an S on them. The amount of BBQ sauce in the cups was kind of skimpy, barely half-full on some of them.

The ribs were pretty good, but probably would have been better if we had gotten them right away, instead of after a delay. I feel like the food quality was four-stars; good enough but not amazing. I’m reluctant to dock another star for confused service, because it’s a new establishment and the man running the food was polite and efficient.

My family all agreed that we would give them a second chance, perhaps after they’ve been open for a month or two.

New BBQ place on the west side is now open. Good flavor in all the dishes. 3 sauces: original, hot, sweet. Two meat platter of Brisket and Pulled Pork with Hush Puppies and Baked Beans. Also had a free sample rib. Rib had the best flavor of all.
