Dubai Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar

Was trying to get VIP membership,but was told that I have to be picked selectively and they don't have spots until June 2022. Will come back to Madison again to purchase it.

Service friendly and prompt. Somewhat limited food choices. Flavors are not as authentic as they should be, but food quality acceptable. Atmosphere is appealing and reasonable social distancing. Fortunately no one was smoking hookah so there was no obnoxious fumes at the time.

Food is excellent. Owner very personable. Baklava is out of this world. Fresh and dripping honey. Worth it. We usually go mid afternoon.

First off, the food was phenomenal! My wife and I had never been to Madison, so we were looking for a nice date night/celebratory meal, and were looking forward to some hookah. it was maybe 3pm on a Wed, so place was empty (perfect for us introverts) and got a great seat right next to the window. We didn't know this, but apparently hookah was generally only after 8pm, but the owner decided to hook us up anyway!

I got the gyro, and my wife got the falafel and we got a hummus plate with lamb to share. All was excellent! and of course, being the only table in there made for very prompt service! The owner was amazing, and we actually sat and chatted with him for a good while after our meal. Genuine pleasure to meet him, and will definitely be back!

When we decided to do the obligatory social media post re: date night/passing my big test/etc, and tagging the restaurant, the owner saw it immediately, and as a congratulations on my test, gave us a free dessert! which, by the way, was absolutely delicious! flaky, crispy topping, apple, cinnamon, idek what else.. perfect end to the experience.

Dubai is my get away! I come here to relax almost everyday. I started coming when the Covid restrictions started lifting and Mac has kept us safe from covid while still maintaining great service for everyone. The bartenders make great drinks. They serve the best alcohol. And the music is always on point. It's really a family vibe at Dubai. It's my favorite place to be!!!
