Essen Haus Restaurant and Bar

An amazing German bar! The style is aesthetically unique and inviting. The staff are awesome and friendly. The food is good. There is always an event happening, be it small or large. Recommend going with friends.

The best German restaurant I've been to offering excellent food and atmosphere. I could not have spent my 21st birthday at a better place.
It's very sad to hear that there are plans to demolish it later this year. Old world restaurants and historical buildings like this have been steadily disappearing and there are fewer and fewer good ones left. Places, such as the Essen Haus, that preserve our German heritage and traditions should be preserved at all costs. I really hope the owner changes his mind.

Excellent example of the Wisconsin tavern culture. Sunday all day happy hour delivers $4.25 half liters of good German beer in one bar on the premises. There are two other bars and a restaurant as well as a hotel in the same property.

The food, service and entertainment were great. I normally do not frequent this type of restaurant, but I must say I will definitely go again. I can't even tell you what I ordered. I let the server surprise me. It was great. Oh no, I hope I get the same server next time!
