Food and atmosphere is amazing, they really take pride in making a majority of their menu from scratch and I must admit its phenomenal! When they get busy it does take a minute for food and such but that's to be expected with any popular restaurant. Their beer on tap is great, lots of different crafts and some good bottles too. Highly recommend the curds though, might not suit everyone but by far my favorite place to go!
I was there for a retirement gathering for a co-worker. I really didn't care that much for the food. The salad was really good. I don't drink so I didn't try any of the beer that they are famous for. I had the cheese curds but they were sort of cold so I didn't enjoy those. I had their chocolate chip cookie as a dessert which was good. Maybe I will visit again and try some other things.
The grilled salmon came with A LOT of salmon. The sides mixed well, and the presentation was top notch.
It was busy when we went on a Friday night. We couldn't ask for a full reservation, but we could call ahead to put our name on a "priority list". Highly recommend for avoiding a long wait.
Finally, the sports bar area was well-equipped. A couple of TVs that would work great on a game day.
Delightful wait staff made our evening so enjoyable. Wonderful place for a birthday celebration. The craft beer battered fish fry special was delicious and served with choice of soup or salad, not slaw. The kitchen staff created a perfect sandwich to meet our son's request, on a busy Friday night. Great tap selections a plus!
Busy place for a Monday evening. We had a large group of 8 people and waited at the bar for about half an hour before squeezing into a table. The service was good. The food was good. We had cheese curds and pretzels for appetizers. The cheese curds were good- some people thought they have had better, I'd say they were above average- not spectacular. The pretzel was very good the mustard that came with it was amazing- very spicy.
I ordered the chicken and smoked cheddar salad- I was surprised and slightly disappointed at how little lettuce was in it and that it was mostly toppings. It was quite enjoyable after I added some salt and additional dressing. My brother had the macaroni which he really enjoyed- I tasted it and thought it was a little under-seasoned, but glad I ordered the salad instead.
They do have a great beer selection. They were closing early for a staff meeting- which I do not know how often that happens but might make it worth while to check online before you go.
Overall it was good. I am not in a rush to make the trip back, mostly because it is quite heavy bar food and I just don't eat that type of food often. Even the salad was mostly toppings. I did have an overall positive experience. I think the food was very rich and a little bland- but easily fixed by adding salt.
