“Best authentic Italian Beef sandwich this side of Chicago. Service is more fast-food than sit down restaurant. You order at the counter, pay and they give you a number. When your order is ready the cook brings it to your table. You do get metal dining ware, but it is wrapped in cheap paper napkins. They are still making the transition from food truck to "brick and mortar" restaurant.”

“Excellent bloody merry! But if you are known for having food, at least have a waitress. Had to take my party's order as the bartender was the server and he was busy. Although, instead of taking his smoke breaks, he could've asked us if we needed anything. He did take care of my bill, so that was nice. “Nothing is better than sitting outside in nice weather in Wisconsin and being on the water! This place is excellent for that alone! I started with a Crown Royal Peach Old Fashion (delicious!). I had the Feta Pesto Salmon which was outstanding! Hubby had Prime Rib. It was much rarer than he liked but he didn't send it back. (so his own fault!) The service was a little slow, but they were pretty busy, so no big deal. It was fun watching the boats go by and the children playing in the green space by the water. Live music started around 7. Just a really fun place!”

“Wow, this place is a hidden gem. It's totally unassuming from the outside but, really wow, the food is so good. You can tell the person cooking it actually cared. I genuinely appreciate that as a trucker, most places are just so half-hearted about their food and service and I'm constantly disappointed. Not here. The woman working the front of house was lovely and polite. The cook clearly has pride, the food was fresh and healthy and delicious. I don't have even one negative thing to say. “The deep dish has a non-traditional thinner crust style (but is still deep dish), and was fantastic. Their Chicken Alfredo pizza has become my fiancee's favorite (and she normally never likes anything other than cheese pizza.) Their sandwiches are also amazing, and very reasonably priced. The prices match the quality (you pay a little more and get amazing quality when compared to other places), and the staff is super friendly. I would recommend anyone passing through Colfax to take a stop at A Little Slice of Italy. (Just be mindful of the building, it's not quite square.)”
